With a background in literature, books were my first love; art, my second. In both my personal and professional life — as a lecturer at an Art Institute and a freelance art writer — I have had the privilege of weaving the two together, while meeting wonderful people who continue to inspire me.

As a Portuguese living in the Netherlands, Alma Archive is in many ways an invitation into my own archive — shaped by what has stayed with me, beyond place, culture, or language. Selections are guided by a curiosity that moves through literature, art, design, fashion, and philosophy.
